My and Kari met through their sons who have been in the same class since Grade 1. It was an instant and easy friendship that came from similar shared values and interests. At many morning coffees after school drop off, they both realized their conversations always quickly turned to real estate.  It usually involved Kari’s appreciation for good design and quality builds and My’s background and knowledge of the local market trends and dynamics.

Over the years, opportunities presented themselves and were discussed on how they could convert their common interests into something more tangible. So when a beautiful residential lot in Rockland became available in 2020, Lot 3 Developments quickly came to be. While the World in 2020 was filled with uncertainty and negative news, these two friends committed to this new partnership to create and contribute to their community in a positive way.  Real estate was an obvious path given their individual experience and shared vision. Not only did they want to contribute through providing thoughtfully designed homes to the landscape but also by making a promise to give back through donations from the net profits of any sales.   

Although Lot 3 is a partnership solely between My and Kari, they consider the Lot 3 Developments “family” to include all the local professionals and suppliers that support and help them realize their vision from inception to the final paint stroke.  Their decades of applied experience in this sector have helped forge strong and trusting relationships with the local building and design community. This makes them both confident that they will always deliver well designed and built product that the buyer would be proud and happy to call home.

The Lot 3 Initiative

A percentage of the net profits from every project will be donated to various charities with a focus on ones found within our community.  

The Lot 3 Initiative was a driver for My and Kari in forming their partnership. When they started talking about the idea of working together in this capacity, it was important for them to understand what their motivation was.

Again their shared values made it easy for them to commit to giving back and paying it forward. Through this Initiative they hope to practice their shared belief of always trying to leave the world a better place then they found it.
